The entries for this year's National Pairs are starting to flood in, can I remind you all that the field is limited to 40 pairs, so your entry forms need to be sent off ASAP, the closing date is the 31st March.
I have agreed practice rounds at Leatherhead from 1pm onwards on Sunday 17th May, for a cost of £22.50 (normal green fee £45), these need to be booked direct with the head pro via email, firstname.lastname@example.org
We will have the golf club cleaner available again this year on the first day, Monday 18th, to get all your clubs looking good as new for the event, this will be a free service to all competitors.
Due to our great sponsorship deal this year, we are expecting to have a prize table in excess of £2500, so there should be some excellent prizes.

If you are a region due to host an event in 2016 please start planning to submit your bid for approval at the AGM in October 2015. Any advice you need on the planning phase and breakdown of what is required can be obtained from the national secretary Richard Cropley from Notts Fire.

GPS DEVICES AT FSSAA GOLF SECTION EVENTS - The national committee wishes to announce that smartphones with golf GPS applications may be used in competitions unless:
1. The club hosting the event has a local rule preventing the use of such devices;
2. The national golf union of the host country has a rule preventing the use of such devices;
3. The device is not used to access the internet for advice and thus breaching the rules of golf;
The individual is responsible for adhering to the rules of golf laid down by the R&A when using such devices.
Dress Code at Sitwell Park:
Just a note to make competitors aware of the dress code at Sitwell Park G.C.One thing they are keen on is that if you wear shorts they MUST NOT have pockets visible on the outside!Its just a thing they enforce quite stringently.Ankle & Trainer socks are fine.Trainers in the clubhouse are NOT permitted unless the are all the one colour like espradrills.
